"Uniformity, Consistency, and Professionalism"
Mission Statement:
It is the responsibility of the Grand Lecturer’s Office to assure that the Ancient Landmarks and Customs of the Fraternity are preserved. Moreover, this office will maintain ritualistic consistency, and also propagate clear and concise information to the craft. We are here to perform Masonic burials, lay cornerstones, install constituent lodge officers, dedicate new lodges, confer past masters degree, healings and to annually exemplify all three ancient craft degrees.
The Office of the Grand Lecturer (O.G.L.) will also oversee the Masonic burial certification for brothers who wish to perform the last Masonic obsequies for a brother. More importantly this office will oversee all ritualistic aspects of Ancient Craft Freemasonry throughout the Maryland jurisdiction. With overseeing the Lodges of Instruction (L.O.I.) the O.G.L. will ensure that each instructor has adequate and sufficient training materials, as it pertains to ritualistic work within the jurisdiction of Maryland. This will ensure that Wardens and brothers attending L.O.I. are proficient and well prepared to ultimately govern a constituent lodge. The O.G.L. will be available to help, aid, and assist in the ritualistic needs of all brothers within the jurisdiction of Maryland.
Vision Statement:
- Ritualistic consistency within the Maryland jurisdiction
- Develop and maintain an open line of communication between all levels of leadership within the jurisdiction of Maryland
- To ensure that all policies and procedures pertaining to ritualistic work are properly documented and distributed within the jurisdiction
- Set the tone for a professional approach to all ritualistic work within the jurisdiction of Maryland
- To ensure that the L.O.I. provides a solid educational platform that will ensure that Wardens are well prepared to govern a constituent lodge
Fraternally,
